Project 1 - Comfy Sofa When I was younger, I remember my family dreaming of a sofa, where all four of us could fit on comfortably for movie nights.  This small dream was awakened one more time, after watching the documentary “Objectified” by Gary Hustwit, specifically during Hella Jongerius’ interview. Jongerius is a Rotterdam designer whose interest is to give individual character to something produced industrially. The designer puts a strong emphasis on the feelings and/or attachment that a person may experience when coming in contact with an object. In her interview, she mentions the ways in which an object may become memorable and of high importance, going as far as to state that it becomes a part of the family. Jongerius later goes on to highlight memory and experience created while spending time with a product, provoking thought on the objective outcome of creation.
