Learning to Extrude - (Bonus)

Bonus Post - Learning to Extrude.

This post is only meant to track my own progress with extrusion.  

Because I found myself running into issues with extrusion during my ring assignment, I decided to experiment on my own account with the video provided.
I began by creating a bunch of random shapes, following closely to the video from Mosaic. I made several various shapes playing with both straight line and curves, among which was an intentional mushroom, cat, and heart,

I continued on with the video, and ended up extruding first the shapes one by one, then all in one go.

Overall, I found that this process was far easier than I thought or expected it to be. I have come to the conclusion that my issues stemmed from my lines not connecting properly and intersecting with one another.  
The above rendered shapes are the fruits of my exploration. This experiment was successful and very helpful, providing me with the knowledge I needed to extrude my rings.

Post 8 - The Red Iron Blade

  Papercraft Project - The Red Iron Blade. pt.1 The Red Iron Blade is a video game weapon from a popular MMORPG game in Europe, Metin2. I chose this blade for my project because the game has played a significant role in my childhood, and why it was so great. Because the Red Iron Blade is one of the most prestige weapons for level 30, for my younger self and my friends, having it was the ultimate goal. (as we had 0 clue what we were doing and could not get past level 30 at the time.) My character holding the Red Iron Blade I began my creation by tracing an image of the sword in rhino, and developing a proper outline.   Post 6 b. - Papercraft Concept Sketches Developing a proper concept sketch is one of the crucial aspects of creating something new. This is especially important in a craft, where uncertainty can not be hidden behind the two-dimensional curtains of a drawing or a painting.
